BIM 4 WORLD Group

"When implementing BIM into my work environment, I came across a serious problem. Where does it end and where does it begin? Defining BIM boundaries has proved impossible. The beginning can be referred to the history of technology but it is not enough for information. As the second pillar of BIM methodology. It existed from always. And only the way of its production and distribution has changed. And over the last 30 years a huge change. It is constantly changing and rather this change will accelerate, not slow down. In the maze of information I read, I found only specialized pieces of the puzzle, for self assembly. Arranging individual textbooks, standards, data, information, missions, guidelines, instructions and other useful things becomes problematic due to their continuous and geometrically determinate evaluation. Therefore, my approach to the problem changed over time from linear, through three-dimensional, to cloud version. And so from the methodologist and 2D through 3D I came to 4D. Today you can now put it in a logical whole with a 10D level dedicated to BIM. Therefore, understanding a cloud of information without a guide, and the right groups of guides, becomes impossible. Then I decided to set up a group of BIM people associated with technology and working on data every day. You are cordially invited. " Tom Mau Gee

Levels of cognition:

2D - the linear system requires the definition of the beginning and a one-way path, it was rejected very early as not useful for BIM issues. Yes you can learn BIM software but not BIM management.

3D - you take off into space where you are hung. You can develop in stages in each direction, understanding more and more of what surrounds you but the space is much larger and you do not even know where in the space of this knowledge you are. Useful but to start. The farther you go, the more you know that you do it too slowly.

4D - cloud of information (expands in time) randomly explored, you jump thousands of kilometers faster than the speed of light from point A to point D or Q you don't know where you are but you get to know completely new spaces. It's a bit scary because you realize the great area of your ignorance. And so you come to the conclusion that you need someone who at least determines your position in this undefined world. The answer is people and more specifically BIM people.

4D + is the communication of BIM people to help everyone determine where they are, how to plot items in the model, you are at coordinates (x, y, z). But for you to better understand where you are, the formula should look like this {[(x, y, z) + t] * big data}. Therefore, people connected in a quick connection network give the opportunity to determine the position among themselves, and with more users this position is becoming more accurate (like: GPS satellites or GSM transmitters). All BIM people add to this their knowledge in the field of their work, often very specialized, and so a group is formed and the group can create a map of the BIM world.

Group: Bim for World (BIM4WORLD Group) was created to gather people and knowledge in the field of BIM. From today until the beginning, updating or expanding knowledge, data, application or BIM techniques on a regular basis. In the methodology of learning 4D +. Thanks to this, it will be possible to outline positions between users and then other BIM people using group experience.

Mission: collect information, catalog, discover connections, find their right place, showing everything on the BIM world map

Goals: to associate BIM people with their experience, share their knowledge and experience in working with data, solve technical and logical problems together, broaden the knowledge and skills of software, coordinate each other's points of knowledge with BIM, inform the public about the discoveries and perceptions of the group, promote open dialogue on the technology used for BIM, develop an open guide to BIM, define the macro border of the BIM world, evaluate with the BIM environment.

Actions: stay connected online, personally expand knowledge and skills, add markers on the BIM map and signposts for others, report border reaching alerts, publish experiences and summaries on publicly available group platforms, research BIM issues with open methodology, report research results, train and enter the future of BIM applications.

I invite all interested - Tom Mau Gee
